Another simple tip.
We all love fabric. The shape of the rolls as it arrives at your workplace. The joy in seeing it come to life. The whole process of roll to garment or whatever you're making. So nice!
A common mistake by designers is buying fabric - sometimes a lot of fabric - without a definite use.
It basically seemed like a good idea at the time.
Now all that unused fabric has to be stored properly, and it's stopping you locating the fabric you actually need. Remember to get sample sizes if you're not sure about the material you want to use.
So not only is the fabric costing cash, but there are also storage costs.
Don't let the fabric linger! Only buy with a definite plan in mind.
